The Cubs for a team with a huge payroll have placed a lot of their fortunes on Aramis Ramirez. He has been reasonable healthy over his career but has struggled with leg problem in recent years. The Cubs have absolutely no one to back him up at third. If he does miss playing time the Cubs will have to dip into the minors for an unproven player or make a trade. The real danger with Ramirez is the fact that he is the only true power hitter on the team with the potential to drive in well over a 100 runs in a season. Lee had one good rbi season in 10 years and has driven in only 82 and 90 the last 2 seasons. Soto had a great rookie season and has some pop, but seems better suited to be a strong bottom of the order batter. Soriano has power and may move down in the order but is not an rbi threat. Milton Bradley had a career high 77 last year. The rest of the Cubs have very little power. The Cubs do have good depth in their lineup and the Cardinals would be much more devastated by an injury to Pujols, but the Cubs have put a lot on the shoulders of Ramirez.
